Disappointed after seeing such great reviews. The wines we tried were nice but I found the service and experience did not match what others found. Service was slow even though it was super quiet. Whilst we were there staff had their Uber eats lunch at the table beside us. The description of the wines was fairly basic and I did not find the experience very personable. Had a wonderful experience at Maria Palato. Came upon it because our apartment was just down the street and had to try it after walking by and reading wonderful reviews. The owners were lovely and we got lucky on a busy Thursday evening to get a table for 2. Had some wonderful moscatel and lovely glass of white wine named after their dog Poncha ❤️ we got the fish platter and salad that was so fresh with oranges. I ended the night with a port as my dessert.Was also able to easily select some one to ship home. Absolutely fantastic experience - some of the best customer service we've ever received, great wine recommendations and delicious food (including Franceshina sandwiches). The wonderful staff member even offered us a tasting of the wine from Madeira before we went there which was amazing. Don't let the cute restaurant opening fool you - this place has a great kitchen, huge selection of wine and is amazing!
